Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, a premier company in the United States, will return to Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Feb. 9.
With influences from Africa, the Americas and the Middle East blended into their performance, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana features Spanish dance, solos, duets and company dances.
“This Spanish dance company was a major hit for the Louisiana Tech Concert Association over a decade ago, and it is delightful to have them returning to Tech this quarter,” said Kenneth Robbins, director of the School of the Performing Arts. “It is always joyful when LTCA can bring a professional dance company to campus, and this flamenco company is among the very best.”
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Howard Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for Tech students with a valid ID, $6 for all other students and $5 for senior citizens. They may be purchased by calling 318-257-3942 or by visiting the Howard Center Box Office Monday through Friday between 1:30-4:45 p.m.
