Preliminary competition will held on Thursday and Friday while the live telecast state-wide finals will be held Saturday at the Monroe Civic Center’s W.L. “Jack” Howard Theatre.

Eva Edinger of Ruston and the reigning Miss Louisiana Tech, Meagan Lee of Delhi who is Miss Louisiana Watermelon Festival and Miss Louisiana Tech 2014, Anna Blake of Ruston and Miss Heart of Pilot, Morgan Tanner of Monroe and Miss Natchitoches, and Julianne Tippen of West Monroe who is Miss Spirit of Ruston and Miss Louisiana Tech 2013 will all represent Louisiana Tech at the pageant.

Qualified contestants from all over the state will compete for crown, educational scholarships as well as advancement to the Miss America pageant.

Louisiana Tech Coordinator of Student Programs Annie Jantz said the university is extremely proud of these young women.

“They are all incredibly intelligent, talented, and motivated young women, and each is a great representative of Louisiana Tech,” Jantz said. “I think that no matter who walks away with the Miss Louisiana crown, Louisiana Tech should be very proud.”

This year’s event will feature special performances by Lacey Sanchez, reigning Miss Louisiana as well as the Miss Louisiana band.
