Message from President Les Guice – South LA Flood Relief

Aug 17, 2016 | General News

Dear Louisiana Tech Family,
I call upon all members of the Louisiana Tech Family to join me in assisting our friends and families in south Louisiana who are dealing with one of the most catastrophic and devastating flood disasters on record.  This unprecedented crisis has left them without many of the most basic necessities that we far too often take for granted.
We, as a university family, must find ways to help them cope with and recover from the losses they have endured over the past week.  Hope and Caring are two of our Tenets of Tech: those principles which help to define who we are as a university community and how we represent ourselves and our institution.  Let’s not wait another moment to provide hope and caring to our friends in south Louisiana.
It is important to recognize that this is not just a south Louisiana crisis…it is a State of Louisiana crisis.  To make a donation, please text LAFLOOD to 313131 or visit www.cauw.org.  You can also assist by vising www.redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS or text the LAFLOODS to 90999 to make a donation.
Sincerely,
Les Guice
President
